At the request of Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, Israel is set to deliver additional assistance to Ukraine. Water supply systems intended for drinking will reach hundreds of thousands of individuals in areas where infrastructure has been devastated due to Russian bombardments. This information was disclosed in a statement by the Israeli Foreign Ministry on the social media platform X.

– On July 3, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar informed Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk that he had directed his ministry to arrange a new aid package for Ukraine through MASHAV, the National Agency for International Development within the Israeli Foreign Ministry. This package includes the provision of drinking water purification and supply systems capable of serving hundreds of thousands of individuals in regions affected by Russian air strikes, according to the report.

The assistance will be funded by the budget of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The package will feature several advanced water supply systems, each designed to cater to tens of thousands of people. The equipment will be installed in eastern Ukrainian regions where shelling has critically damaged infrastructure, leading to a shortage of potable water for the local population.

Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Michael Brodsky remarked that since the onset of the full-scale invasion in February 2022, Israel has already offered substantial humanitarian aid, including both air and ground “bridges” for delivering food, medical supplies, and other essential equipment. A field hospital was also established in the early months of the conflict, and in the first quarter of 2025, hundreds of generators were supplied to regions affected by shelling.
