Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, following the revelation of a corruption scheme involving not only officials and a People's Deputy, but also personnel from the National Guard of Ukraine, announced reforms regarding the NGU logistics. He conveyed this during his customary evening address.
– Anti-corruption agencies have uncovered a case involving one deputy from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, along with heads of various district and city administrations, and members of the National Guard of Ukraine, for accepting bribes. Regrettably, these acts pertained to the procurement of electronic warfare and FPV systems. This is utterly unethical. There must be complete and just accountability for such actions, – stated the president in his evening message.
The President mentioned that he had convened with the leaders of NABU, Semen Kryvonos, and SAPO, Oleksandr Klymenko, expressing gratitude for their efforts. Zelensky also received a briefing from the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko. An internal inquiry is ongoing within the National Guard, with results expected to be disclosed shortly.
“In every logistics unit of the National Guard, only combat officers will be appointed to leadership roles. I have directed the minister to publicly share all specifics regarding these changes,” the president remarked while addressing the situation.
Previously, Klymenko disclosed that the NGU officials implicated in the misconduct have already been relieved of their duties. An investigation is in progress.

- Among those identified by NABU and SAPO in this major corruption case are People's Deputy from the “Servant of the People” party Oleksiy Kuznetsov, Head of the Mukachevo Regional State Administration and former Head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Serhiy Haiday, as well as the Head of the Rubizhna MVA of the Luhansk region Andriy Yurchenko.
- The leader of the “Servant of the People” faction in the Verkhovna Rada, David Arakhamia, announced that the membership of MP Oleksiy Kuznetsov in the “Servant of the People” faction will be suspended pending the investigation into the corruption scheme related to the procurement of drones and electronic warfare equipment, as revealed by NABU and SAPO.
