Ihor Kolomoisky transformed his appearance while in a pre-trial detention facility. At the Pecherskyi District Court in Kyiv, the entrepreneur was seen without his beard and with a shaved head. This information comes from a photo shared by “Suspilne”. For the court session, Kolomoisky donned the Olympic jersey of the Dnipro football club, which he previously presided over.
On the evening of May 6, Kolomoisky's preventive detention was extended for an additional 60 days without bail, set to last until July 4, related to the contract murder investigation.
In May 2024, he faced charges concerning the contract killing of lawyer Serhiy Karpenko in Crimea in 2003. The investigation revealed that Kolomoisky, motivated by personal vengeance, allegedly ordered the assassination of the law firm's director due to his failure to comply with demands to annul and invalidate decisions from the shareholders' general meeting of an open joint-stock company.
Ihor Kolomoisky has been held in custody on allegations of fraud and money laundering since September 2023. On April 3, 2025, he appeared in court sporting a short hairstyle, although he had not yet lost his beard.
